Things to Do and Places to Go

Who doesn’t love to stroll downtown in a waterfront community and pop into the shops and eateries along the way? Wouldn’t you like to have a nice meal and go for a short hike? Do you like car shows and/or RV shows? There is so much to do all around us.

Walking towards the Liberty Theatre in downtown Astoria, Oregon
Meatloaf, mashed potatoes with gravy and squash at Camp 18, Elsie Oregon.
Downtown in Seaside, Oregon for a car show.

Rivers, waterfalls, lakes and mountains are beautiful to visit (Multnomah Falls, Mount Hood and Mount Saint Helens are wonderful place to go). Have you gone to an outdoor garden or a fish hatchery? Have you gone to the fair lately?

Mount Hood, approximately 90 minutes outside of Portland Oregon USA. It sits at latitude 45.3736° N, longitude 121.6960° W.
A hot pink Dahlia at the Oregon Gardens in Silverton, Oregon.
A bunch of bovine at the Boundary County Fair in Bonners Ferry, Idaho.

When was the last time you went to the beach? Have you ever gone to a rodeo? Do you think you might enjoy a cruise with ports of call to explore? And who doesn’t like a nice Safari?

This is a rocky outcrop (in which you may see fossils), at Gleneden Beach, in Lincoln County, Oregon.
A wild ride in the arena at the St. Paul Oregon Rodeo in St. Paul Oregon.
The Norwegian Jewel as seen from one of the decks on the Norwegian Pearl, in the Port of Juneau, Alaska, one of the ports of call during my cruise to Alaska.

I enjoyed experiencing all of these things/places and more. I think you might enjoy some (or all) of them too. Let me show you a few, so you can decide which places you want to go to and what things you would like to do.
